Hello everyone!
Our inaugural Canadian Shield hybrid support group meeting went very well! There were eight people who came in person and two more joined us on line. Thank you to those of you who sent me their regrets due to travel or medical appointments and to those of you who were able to attend our gathering. I am truly grateful for the caring, empathy and respect shown by each person as we shared our stories. The WM community is undeniably special.
The Ottawa Cancer Foundation programme coordinators gave us a thorough presentation on what their Community Cancer Hub offers for people affected by cancer and their families in the Ottawa region. We are fortunate to be able to meet at their beautiful Maplesoft-Jones facilities for free on a quarterly basis. Our next support group meeting will be on Wednesday May 13 via Zoom at 4 pm EDT (Zoom forthcoming details forthcoming closer to the date).
