I’m so excited NOT to be sending out a Zoom invitation for our next Atlantic WM support group meeting – all systems are go for an outdoor social event on Saturday, June 24 at the Saint Mary’s Lawn Bowling Club (SMLBC) in Halifax, the coolest club in Nova Scotia! We will gather there at noon for a picnic lunch, followed by lawn bowls instruction and practice. The only thing you need to bring is flat-soled shoes for the green. For those of you in the Halifax area who would like to advance scout the location, you are invited to attend one of the club’s four Open House sessions, either on Sunday, May 28 or Saturday, June 3. See attached poster. The club is located on Fairfield Road, on the Northwest Arm, near Saint Mary’s Boat Club and the Waegwoltic Club. There is currently bridge construction which has blocked Jubilee Road west of Connaught. See attached map for alternate detour routes – the star at the bottom of the map marks the location for SMLBC. Should the weather be unfavourable on June 24 we will have an indoor meeting for those who are willing at my apartment building in Clayton Park West. So that we can plan accordingly for the picnic lunch, please indicate if you and your caregiver plan to attend this event. Hoping to see you there, |
